ABOUT US
K-C Kennels started long before I was born.
My Grandmother had Nelson Kennels in Northern Michigan.
I decided to go with K-C Kennels.  My Grandmother bred, showed and competed in obedience with her Great Danes.  In 1977, my family moved to Woodruff, South Carolina.  My Grandmother's showing and dog dreams were over due to health problems.
But her dreams were passed onto me.
My first show dog was a black dane named Moose.  I then moved on to a poodle named Pierre.  My Grandmother became ill and dogs were put on the back burner.  In 1993, I bought my first show dog.  She was a sable & white, smooth collie named Dezi.  Dezi finished her championship in December of 1994.  After two failed attempts of breeding a litter and many health problems, I gave up on collies.  I will always admire collies from afar.
In 1996, I purchased my first Borzoi, Quinton, from Wind'n Satin & Rokaro Kennels.  Quinton finished his championship in December of 1998 (at the exact show and day 4 years after Dezi).  In 1999, Quinton's second litter was born, and I took Gringo as my stud puppy.  The Saga continues with Gringo.  My Mission is to breed Borzoi with sound temperaments and great potential.
Please visit my website and enjoy the photos.  Make sure you visit the Athena's Page.
She might not be a Borzoi, but she is a one of a kind!
Also my old collie friend, Fran Lee, has decided to bring me back to the collie ring with
her smooth collie, Buttercup.

Look for all of us at the shows in the The South East.
